SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES
The Erasmus program is to support the creation of a European area of higher educationand strengthen the contribution of higher education and advanced vocational education in the innovation process at European level.
The Erasmus program includes the following types of decentralized actions:
Mobility of students
Implementation of a training period (SMP);
GENERAL OBJECTIVES
The Erasmus program is a subroutine of the Lifelong Learning, which began on 1 January2007 and ending December 31, 2013. During this period, to:
Contribute to the development of quality learning for life and its possibilities;
Improving the personal development, social cohesion, active citizenship and European citizenship;
Promote creativity, competitiveness and employability;
Increase participation in lifelong learning;
Promoting language learning and linguistic diversity;
Explore the results, products and processes.
OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES
Realization of the three million students in transnational mobility within the EU by 2012;
Improve and enhance multilateral cooperation;
Increasing the degree of transparency and compatibility between higher;
Improving cooperation between higher education and business;
Develop innovative practices in teaching and training at tertiary level;
Support the development of content, services, pedagogies and innovative ICT-basedlifelong learning.
