Comenius aims to improve and strengthen the European dimension of education, from preschool to the secondary, and the institutions and organizations that offer these same levels of education, to achieve all key actors and agents of the activity education.

The Comenius Programme includes two types of decentralized actions:

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES

  • develop knowledge and awareness among young people and education for diversity and the value of European cultures and languages ​​
  • Helping young people acquire skills and basic life skills necessary for personal growth, to their future professional life and an active European citizenship.

OPERATIONAL OBJECTIVES

  • improve the quality and increase the volume of mobility involving pupils and educational staff in different Member States of the European Union
  • improve the quality and to increase the volume of partnerships between schools in different Member States of the European Union, which seeks to involve at least three million pupils in joint educational activities during the term of the Lifelong Learning Programme Lifelong Learning (2007-2013)
  • encourage the learning of modern foreign languages ​​
  • support the development of content, services, pedagogies and innovative practices based on the use of information and communication technologies (ICT) in the field of lifelong learning;
  • enhance the quality and European dimension of teacher training
  • to support improvements in pedagogical approaches and school management.
